Anglo-Irish by birth, Seamus Shortt was brought up in Madrid and now divides his time between Spain and England. In 2014 he was made a Fellow of the International League of Conservation Writers. As a committed conservationist he has been active in environmental issues for many years, becoming a life member of the British National Trust at an early age. He is also a member of Birdingpal and Greenpeace.

The Montevivo books portray a fantasy world of animals in the sierras of Spain. They have a strongly ecological theme and are prefaced by an environmental manifesto. As an author/illustrator, Seamus offers subscribers to his mailing list a free ebook in PDF format called The Montevivo Treasure Trove that includes 25 colour illustrations depicting characters and moments from Montevivo – Book 1 ‘Nature and the Beasts’. In his leisure time Seamus enjoys interacting with other animal lovers and spending time in the countryside. These pastimes are a source of inspiration to him and drive his passion for writing fiction with an environmental message.

If you like fiction with archvillains matched against tenacious heroes/heroines and a plot that rises to a crescendo, then you’ll love THE MONTEVIVO BOOK SERIES.
